How to use AI Agent Skills by binding a published one

How to use AI Agent Skills: prepare the capability in the Skill library, publish it, then bind it to a Space. A bound Skill is used for editor completion and invocation, so the agent can use that capability in the Space. This is for work that needs a stable tool or procedure instead of a new explanation in every chat.

What a Skill is

A Skill is a bundle of tools and procedures that extends what the agent can do. Once it is attached to a Space, the agent can call it as part of that Space’s work instead of relying only on instructions typed for one turn.

Prepare it in the Skill library

Open the Skill library and filter My Skills or Official Skills, or search by name and description. You can view an existing Skill or create one. An external capability can enter the library through import from MCP.

After you create or import a Skill, publish it. An unpublished Skill cannot be bound to a Space.

Bind it to the current Space

Skill bindings in a Space list published Skills only. After binding, the Skill is used for editor completion and observer invocation. The Space shows how many Skills are bound.

When you enter from a template, check the included Skills on the template before loading. A scheduled task that runs through an agent session can also select one or more Skills.

FAQ

Why is the binding list empty?

The list shows published Skills only. Publish one in the Skill library, or import it from MCP and publish it.

Is a Skill the same as a template?

No. A template assembles a workspace. A Skill is one capability the Space can call. A template can include Skills, and a Space can bind more later.

Can I use a Skill as soon as I import it from MCP?

Import puts it in the Skill library. Publish it before you bind it to a Space.

Next step

Publish one capability you need now, bind it to the current Space, and run one real task to confirm the agent can call it.
